The benefits of cosmetic dentistry go beyond appearance:

  • Healthier teeth that look and function better as a result of treatment.

  • A more comfortable bite with reduced jaw strain.
  • Improved facial profile through restored tooth shape and proportion.
  • A mouth that feels and functions normally again after tooth loss or damage.

Our Cosmetic Dentistry services

Dental Veneers

Dental veneers are a fully customizable way to achieve a brighter, more even smile. Porcelain veneers are bonded directly to the front of your teeth, giving you natural-looking, long-lasting results.

How a smile makeover works

Every smile makeover begins with a conversation. There is no standard approach because no two smiles are the same. The process is built around what you want to change and what your oral health requires before cosmetic treatment can begin.

Personalized treatment plan

Your dentist will examine your teeth, review your dental records, and assess your overall oral health before recommending any treatment. This ensures that whatever is proposed is appropriate for your specific situation and that the results will hold up long term. You will always understand what is being recommended and why before any decisions are made.

One step at a time

Cosmetic treatment does not always happen in a single appointment. Depending on how many concerns are being addressed, treatment may be spread across multiple visits to allow your mouth to recover between procedures and to give each step the attention it deserves. If underlying health issues are present, such as gum disease or decay, these will be addressed before cosmetic work begins. Flexible scheduling is available to work around your life and budget.

Maintaining your results

Cosmetic results last longer when they are supported by consistent oral hygiene at home and regular teeth cleanings and exams. Routine visits allow your dentist to monitor your restorations, address any concerns early, and keep your smile looking its best for years to come.

Schedule your exam and consultation

Your visit begins with a thorough examination of your teeth, gums, soft tissues, and bite. We want to understand the full picture of your oral health before recommending any course of treatment.
Before moving forward, we take the time to learn about your health history, any concerns you may have, and what you’re hoping to achieve. Our goal is to make sure you feel informed and comfortable every step of the way. Contact us today to book your appointment.

Frequently Asked Questions

There are several options depending on what you want to improve. Common treatments include dental veneers for a comprehensive smile transformation, dental bonding for chips and minor imperfections, teeth whitening for surface discoloration, Invisalign for alignment concerns, and dental crowns to restore damaged teeth. During a consultation, all relevant options will be presented based on your specific goals and oral health.

Not entirely. Many cosmetic treatments also restore or improve function. Dental veneers can address sensitivity caused by enamel wear. Dental crowns protect weakened or damaged teeth. Invisalign improves alignment, which can reduce strain on the jaw and make cleaning easier. The best cosmetic outcomes tend to support both the look and health of your smile.

Your oral health does need to be in reasonable condition before most cosmetic procedures begin. Active gum disease, untreated decay, or infection will typically need to be addressed first to give your cosmetic results the healthiest foundation possible. Your dentist will identify any preparatory treatment needed during your initial exam.

Longevity depends on the treatment and how well it is maintained. Dental veneers can last ten to fifteen years or longer with proper care. Teeth whitening results vary depending on diet and habits. Dental bonding typically lasts several years before a touch-up may be needed. Attending regular teeth cleanings and practicing good home care are the most reliable ways to protect your investment.

Modern cosmetic dentistry is designed to blend seamlessly with your natural teeth. Materials like porcelain are matched to the color, shape, and translucency of surrounding teeth so that results look like a healthy, natural smile rather than an obvious alteration. The goal is always a result that looks like you, only at your best.

Most purely cosmetic procedures, such as teeth whitening or veneers placed for aesthetic reasons, are not covered by dental insurance. However, some treatments that serve both cosmetic and functional purposes, such as dental crowns or composite fillings, may be partially covered depending on your plan. It is worth reviewing your coverage before treatment begins so you have a clear picture of your out-of-pocket costs.

The best way to determine the right treatment is through an in-person consultation and oral exam. What works well for one patient may not be the most appropriate option for another, depending on the condition of their teeth, their goals, and their budget. A thorough assessment ensures that whatever is recommended is clinically sound and genuinely suited to your situation.

Hands down, the greatest dental care you can find! I first joined this practice many years ago and still talk about how amazing they are to this day. I had to move out of the city for work over five years ago (and now live over an hour away), and I genuinely miss coming here, as strange as that sounds for a dental office! I’ve been to many different dentists since moving, and absolutely nothing compares to the thorough care you get here. Highly, highly recommend.

I had a great experience at Park Crossing Dentistry. From the moment I walked in, everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. The staff were knowledgeable and took the time to clearly explain everything, which made me feel comfortable and confident in my care. What stood out most was how invested they were in actually helping me and addressing my concerns. You can tell they truly care about their patients, not just the appointment. I’m very impressed overall. 10/10 experience and I’ve officially found my new dentistry home. Highly recommend!

Relevant Truth: I grew up very poor, and as a result, we couldn't afford to go to the dentist. Fast forward to my high school graduation, and I joined the US Army, which (in only the Army way) caught me up on my dental work with "military kindness." Needless to say, that was traumatizing, and since then I have always feared dentist offices. So, when I find one, I am beyond grateful. When selecting a dentist, my MOST IMPORTANT factor is patient empathy and financial integrity. I can say without doubt that Park Crossing Dentistry has that. My hygienist, Olivia, was constantly checking in with me to ensure that I was at ease. She informed me that if I ever felt I needed a break, all I had to do was raise my right hand. Additionally, when I had questions, she would pause and welcome them. She had a sound understanding of patient anxiety and how best to support patients while also performing the necessary work. Dr. Powell was my dentist, and I must say there was an important event that meant a great deal to me. During my examination, she noted a potential need for a filling; however, she didn't feel it was necessary yet, and doesn't believe in drilling and cutting teeth unnecessarily. This decision was more than just an appreciation of my teeth; it was prioritizing my teeth over her bottom line. That speaks volumes to me. So, as long as they are there, I'm there, and when you go there, ask for them!

Dental anxiety champions PLEASE keep reading. I would genuinely give a million stars if I could! If you're like me and googled "best dentists in Charlotte", there is a reason these guys are on the list. My first interaction of calling to make an appointment was seamless, quick and professional. THEN I got the opportunity to meet some of the most amazing dental staff I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I HATE (used to) the dentist from bad experiences in the past and this entire practice changed that. So kind, GENTLE, explains everything and patient. I had a cleaning and went back for fillings and it was a surprisingly easy process for everything. Dr. Neubauer was amazing, very careful and considerate of everything. (Did I mention gentle and not scary?) I am so thankful to have found a practice like this to change my perspective on dental care. I really appreciate the entire team there, thank you!

Having recently moved to Charlotte, this was my first visit. I was due for a cleaning and exam and was glad to get both in one visit with little wait time. Kudos to all the staff with whom I interacted: Jessie, front desk, Olivia, hygienist, Dr. Powell, dentist, and Shawn, Treatment Coordinator. Each was knowledgeable, informative, and especially congenial. I look forward to Dr. Powell doing some needed repair work next month. She carefully explained my options and answered all my questions.
