Periodontal Disease
June 12, 2012
Periodontal disease takes years to develop and is “silent” in how it progresses. Brushing and flossing twice a day helps. Also, eating the right foods helps. Gum disease or periodontal disease rarely cause symptoms like pain or puffy tissue. When in the early stages, the patient usually does not know they have this serious infection. If the infection continues for months or years, teeth become wobbly because the bone around the tooth root becomes unstable. Eventually, the teeth fall out. So, brush and floss to save your teeth!
